Last night, my children and I attended a provincial banquet for the foreign experts in our area. My husband couldn't come because he couldn't reschedule the night class he teaches on Monday nights. (I think my children are more "expert" than I am when it comes to language and culture, but I am more "expert" than they are in teaching English. Actually, there are a few classifications for teachers in the country: "foreign teacher," "foreign expert" and "visiting scholar.")
At any rate, it was a grand banquet with a beautiful orchestra playing. When we returned home, we found that the decorations placed on campus earlier in the day were lit up.
