Halfway to the halfway point! Yes, that's what the first photo is showing. The second one shows how much we have left to get to the halfway point . . . that pagoda.
Occasionally, the rocks were be cemented in some sort of design. The "yin/yang" symbol is a sign for balance.
The last photo shows another angle of looking down, just before we reached the halfway point.
